The 28 tribal students of Tapi will visit the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Sriharikota on August 10, as a part of a study tour.
A study tour for the tribal students of Tapi district is organised by the state tribal development department and Tapi administration. As part of the tour, 28 tribal students of the science faculty from 15 government schools of Tapi district will fly to Chennai from Surat on August 10. From there, they will visit the satellite launching centre of ISRO in Sriharikota.
Tapi District Collector Dr Vipin Garg met the 28 tribal students and their parents on Saturday. The 28 students were selected based on a test conducted for class 11-12 science students from 15 tribal schools in the district. Garg told students that it was a lucky chance and revealed that he had not been to ISRO so far. The students gifted a specially designed T-shirt to the collector.
Surender Kumar (Principal of Indu Eklavya Model Residential School), Rajeshree Chitte (Principal of Government Higher Secondary School at Dolvan), Nitiksha Chaudhary, (Principal of Adarsh Residential School at Ukai), Sunil Chaudhary (Teacher of Eklavya Model Residential School, Ukai), Sunil Kumar (Eklavya Model Residential School at Ukai) and Sangeeta Chaudhary (Information Officer of Tapi District Information Office) will lead the students during the tour.
