Gujarat BJP on Friday switched to festive mood after the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) victory in the Bihar Assembly polls.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and state party president Jagdish Vishwakarma visited the party’s state headquarters in Gandhinagar and congratulated the party workers, crediting the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s idea of ‘politics of development’.
The state party unit organised a celebration – with dhol and fire crackers – at the party’s state headquarters Shree Kamalam.
Vishwakarma said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had gifted the politics of development to Gujarat when he was the Chief Minister of the state. He gave the same gift to the country. And today, we are witnessing its result in Bihar; how big a mandate the politics of development has given.”
Vishwakarma said this was the 95th electoral defeat faced by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and added there cannot be any bigger humiliating defeat for the Congress than this one. He also said the people of Bihar have rejected the “dynastic and corrupt” parties led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav.
Congratulating the party workers and the people of Bihar, CM Patel said, “This victory is of good governance. This victory is of security through Operation Sindoor. This victory is of corruption-free governance. This victory is of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Viksit Bhat. This victory is of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the policy of Swadeshi.”
A similar celebration of the victory was done by the party’s Ahmedabad city unit at its office in Khanpur. The celebration was joined by Ahmedabad president of BJP Prerak Shah and Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibha Jain, among others.
