The wife of a Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Sunday allegedly killed her daughter by setting her on fire before committing suicide at the Dantewada camp in Banaskantha district of north Gujarat,police said.
The victims have been identified as Madhumita Kundu (28) and her three-year-old daughter Nita,they said.
Following an altercation with her husband over some domestic issue,Madhumita set her daughter ablaze and killed herself in a similar manner.
Prima facie,it looks like a suicide case,police said,adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
