Amit Shah to celebrate Uttarayan at 3 residential societies in Gandhinagar

On Tuesday morning, he’ll visit Shantiniketan Apartment in the Memnagar area, followed by two more localities in the Ranip and Sabarmati areas of Ahmedabad.

Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah is set to celebrate the annual kite festival of Uttarayan in his Lok Sabha constituency of Gandhinagar on Tuesday, wherein he is scheduled to visit three residential societies.

Shah is expected to begin his celebration of Uttarayan from the Shantiniketan Apartment in the Memnagar area on Tuesday morning, accompanied by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The area falls under the Ghatlodia Assembly constituency, which is represented by CM Patel. Ghatlodia is also part of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

The chairman of the society, Kirit Patel, who is also associated with a number of social organisations, said at a press conference, “We are feeling fortunate that despite his having lots of responsibilities in the country, Shah is coming to our apartment to celebrate the Uttarayan with all the workers.”

He added that the society will follow a dress code even as 50 young girls carrying kalash will welcome both the guests. The apartment residents have also planned to make rangoli for their welcome .

Kirit also said that the society has also arranged for Shah and CM Patel’s breakfast, which will inclue Uttarayan delicacies like chikki, kachori, samosa, and fruits like sugarcane, berries, and guava.

Later in the day, Shah is scheduled to visit two more localities in the Ranip and Sabarmati areas of Ahmedabad which are also part of the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. In Ranip, Shah will visit Aryavilla Apartments. In Sabarmati, he will celebrate Uttarayan with residents of Arham Flats.
