Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gandhinagar and Mumbai’s Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) signed a memorandum of understanding for academic collaboration Friday.

According to a statement issued by RRU on Saturday, the agreement aims to “foster cooperation and knowledge exchange in various areas of mutual interest, including national security, defence studies, correctional administration, criminology and behavioural sciences, social sciences, vocational education, law, rights, constitutional governance and related fields”.

This cooperation will see the institutions work together to develop joint training programmes that cater to the needs of national security, defense, police, central armed police forces, private, industrial and corporate security personnel, and also facilitate “collaborative research projects aimed at addressing contemporary challenges faced by society”, the statement added.
