Sanjay Seth, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was born on August 25, 1959, in Ranchi. His political journey started in 2005 when he became a member of the Local Board of the State Bank of India, Patna, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
His political career took a significant turn in 2016 when he was appointed as the Chairperson of the Jharkhand State Khadi and Village Industries Board.
In 2019, Seth was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from the Ranchi constituency. During his tenure, he served on the Standing Committee on Information Technology and Subordinate Legislation.
He also held the position of member of the Committee on the Welfare of Other Backward Classes.
Seth has a keen interest in organising socio-cultural and political events and seminars on economic issues. He is also the chairperson of Hasy Mai Jayate (Kavi Sammelane) and a chief patron of Sri Krishnan Janmotsav Samiti (Dahi Handi Pratiyogita) and Makar Sankranti Utsav (Patang Utsav).
