M K Vishnu Prasad is a political leader from Tamil Nadu and a member of the Indian National Congress. He is the incumbent Member of Parliament from the Arani constituency. He was born on July 8, 1972, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and is the son of veteran politician M Krishnasamy. He completed his M.B.B.S degree from Madras Medical College, Chennai.
He served as a Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly member and was responsible for the development of multiple big projects. Cheyyar SIPCOT Industrial Park, Cheyyar Bye-Pass, and the Ocheri Bridge are some examples of his diligent work as an MLA.
He switched to national politics in 2019 when he contested and won the 17th Lok Sabha elections from Arani constituency. He defeated his closest opponent by a significant margin of a little over two lakh votes. He has also served as the president of the Tamil Nadu Youth Congress.
In June 2016, he was expelled from Congress for allegedly involving in anti-party activities. However, the expulsion was revoked later on and he was given back his position in the party.
