Dean Kuriakose, born on June 27, 1981, in Aikaranad, Ernakulam, Kerala, is a prominent Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress. He was born to Shri A M Kuriakose and Smt. Rosamma Kurikose in Ikkaranad, Ernakulam, Kerala.
He pursued his education in Kerala, earning a B.Sc. in Physics from St. Joseph’s College, Moolamattam, an M.A. in Human Rights and Politics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and an LL.B. from the Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram.
His political career began with his involvement in the Youth Congress Kerala wing of the Indian Youth Congress, where he served as the president. His leadership skills and dedication to the cause of the youth were evident during his tenure.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Idukki Lok Sabha constituency on the Indian National Congress ticket with a record margin of 171053 votes to earn his place in the lower house of the Indian Parliament.
