Chandra Prakash Choudhary, born on August 18, 1967, in Sandi, Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, is a notable Indian politician and a member of the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) political party.
He has been serving as a Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Giridih constituency in the Lok Sabha since 2019.
Chaudhary’s political career began in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, where he served as a MLA elected from the Ramgarh Vidhan Sabha constituency from 2005 to 2019.
During this tenure, he was appointed as the Minister of Water Resources, Drinking Water, and Sanitation in the Raghubar Das Ministry of Jharkhand.
In 2019, Choudhary made his debut in the Lok Sabha, representing the Giridih constituency. He won the 17th Lok Sabha elections, defeating JMM candidate Jagarnath Mahto.
