Arvind Kumar Sharma, born on November 25, 1962, in M.P. Majra, Jhajjar, Haryana, is an accomplished Indian dental surgeon turned politician and a Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha representing Rohtak, Haryana.
Before his tenure in Rohtak, Sharma served as the MP for the Karnal constituency in Haryana during the 15th Lok Sabha.
Sharma's political journey has been marked by his affiliations with multiple parties, as he left the Indian National Congress in January 2014 and briefly joined the Bahujan Samaj Party.
He was even announced as the chief ministerial candidate, though he was unsuccessful in securing a win from the Yamunanagar and Julana seats.
Later, Sharma again made a significant political shift in 2019 by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and contested from the Rohtak Lok Sabha seat, defeating Deepender Singh Hooda of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 7,503 votes.
