After completing his medical education, he committed himself to working as a doctor in rural areas, treating patients. But his commitment to public service went beyond his work in medicine. Having personally observed the difficulties his community was facing, he was driven to have a more significant influence. He eventually entered politics as a result of this.

He became involved in local politics by joining the Janata Dal United (JDU). The people were moved by his dedication to public welfare and his knowledge of regional concerns. This resulted in his triumph in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where he beat the sitting Member of Parliament and won a seat in the national assembly.
