AccuWeather is an American media company that provides weather forecasting services worldwide. It was founded in 1962  by Founder, President, and Chairman Dr. Joel N. Myers, a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society. Apart from providing weather news, content, and video, the company also delivers a wide range of highly-customized enterprise solutions to media, business, government, and institutions. Its forecasts and warning services are based on weather information derived from numerous sources, including data gathered by the National Weather Service and meteorological organizations outside the United States. It collects and collates information provided by non-meteorological organizations as well.
