PPCC Chief Bajwa And Jakhar Made To Resign As Rejig In Punjab Congress Imminent

Amidst reports of an imminent rejig in the Congress state unit, PPCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa and Congress Legislative Party(CLP) leader, Sunil Kumar Jakhar have resigned from their posts today at the direction of the party high command. “They have both resigned and Soniaji has accepted the resignations,” Shakeel Ahmad, Congress general secretary in charge of Punjab, confirmed to The Indian Express. Party faithfuls are expecting the announcement of a new team anytime now. The reshuffle is likely to see Deputy Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha, Captain Amarinder Singh, elevated as PCC chief.
