Leopard strays into village, attacks people

West Bengal, Jan 15 (ANI): A leopard entered the Mechua village in West Bengal creating chaos and panic among the villagers. The mammal strayed into the village from a nearby forest and attacked three people. All the three injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment. A villager suffered injuries when he tried to shoo the leopard back into the forest and was attacked by it. Police and forest officials rushed to the spot when they were informed about the matter. However, they could not capture the mammal despite several hours of search operations.
