Cyclone Montha to Slam Kakinada — Odisha, Andhra Pradesh in Emergency Mode

Odisha Cyclone 2025: Cyclone Montha is expected to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam on October 28 as a severe cyclonic storm, the IMD said. Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are on high alert, with heavy rainfall warnings across multiple states. Odisha has deployed ODRAF, NDRF, and fire teams, while Andhra Pradesh has activated relief and food supply plans. West Bengal, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh are also forecast to receive heavy rain. Fishermen have been warned to avoid venturing into the sea.
