Bengaluru’s Biggest Daylight Heist: Police Constable and CMS Staff Among Three Arrested

Bengaluru Police have arrested a serving police constable and two CMS Info Systems staff in connection with the city’s biggest daylight heist, where ₹7.11 crore was stolen from an ATM cash-carrying vehicle on November 19. Police have recovered ₹5.76 crore so far. Officials say the gang of 6–8 members conducted months of planning, used multiple vehicles, avoided CCTV zones, changed number plates, and communicated in several languages to mislead investigators. The three arrested—Constable Annappa Naik, former CMS employee Xavier, and current CMS staffer Gopi—allegedly played key roles. Police also revealed serious lapses by CMS, including violation of RBI guidelines and non-functional GPS tracking. A multi-state manhunt is underway to nab the remaining accused.
