Air India CEO Confirms Crash of AI171, Vows Support for Victims’ Families | Ahmedabad Plane Crash

Air India CEO Campbell Wilson confirmed that flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff. The flight had 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board. Calling it a “difficult day for all of us at Air India,” Wilson said the airline’s full focus is now on supporting the passengers, crew, and their families.
