Trump may visit Pakistan in September; India stop likely too, say reports

U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly planning a visit to Pakistan in September, according to multiple Pakistani media outlets. If confirmed, it would mark the first visit by a sitting American president to the country since George W. Bush in 2006. The reports, which also suggest a possible stop in India, come shortly after Trump hosted Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir at the White House. While Pakistan's foreign office has denied knowledge of any such visit, speculation is growing amid Trump’s recent claims that he brokered a ceasefire between India and Pakistan following a deadly military standoff in May—claims strongly rejected by New Delhi, which insists the agreement came through direct military talks.
