MOMENT: Delegates Walk Out as Netanyahu Addresses UNGA Amid Gaza War Criticism

Dozens of delegates walked out of the United Nations General Assembly hall on Friday as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepared to deliver his speech. While many left in protest, Netanyahu also received a standing ovation from others in the audience. In his remarks, Netanyahu pledged to press ahead with Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, promising that hostages held by Palestinian militants had not been forgotten. But the conflict’s toll remains staggering: over 65,000 people in Gaza have been killed and much of the territory has been left in ruins, according to local health authorities. The walkout highlighted the sharp divisions in the international community over Israel’s military campaign, with some states rejecting Netanyahu’s stance outright while others stood firmly in support.
