Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has finally launched in India at a starting price of Rs 9,999. The smartphone will be available Amazon India next on March 16. It will retail on all other platforms like Snapdeal, Flipkart etc as well as offline later. The Redmi Note 3 was launched in China last year. Xiaomi VP, Hugo Barra, at the launch event in Delhi also confirmed that the company will bring Mi 5 to India this month itself. It would however be interesting to see how its is priced. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes in two variants - One with 2GB RAM and 16GB space, another with 3GB RAM and 32GB space. The smartphones are priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. In our review, we noted that this one is a superb smartphone for its price. Redmi Note 3, however, has some tough competition in the mid-budget segment with players like Le 1s, Lenovo K4 Note, Moto G Turbo, Huawei's Honor 5X. Read our review here
Xiaomi has claimed to have recieved 8.5 lakhs registrations in the first sale. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a metal unibody. In fact this one is the first full-metal body smartphone in Xiaomi's Note series. It features a 5.5-inch full HD display with Sunlight Display and a special reading mode. Xiaomi has gone for curved edges and body; kept the camera and fingerprint bang in the centre of the Redmi Note 3’s back panel and the speakers are also at the back. The Redmi Note 3 features a 16 megapixel camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The Redmi Note 3 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, (not the MediaTek version in China). Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is backed by a huge 4,050 mAh battery. During our review of the smartphone, it lasted easily for a full day on just 40 percent charge. Xiaomi is definitely not the sleekest smartphone in the market, but it is fairly light given the large battery. Read our review here
