Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 (2016) smartphones have been finally launched in India by the Korean-tech giant at its Samsung Southwest Asia Forum 2016 event in Kuala Lumpur.
Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 2016 edition smartphones costs Rs 29,400 and Rs 33,400 respectively and will be available on Snapdeal as well retail stores starting February 15.
The 2016 edition Galaxy A5 and A7 4G smartphones comes with a similar spec sheet with major differences in display size: 5.2-inch for the A5 and 5.5-inch for the A7.
Samsung Galaxy A7 has a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) Super AMOLED display, a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 13mp OIS rear camera and five megapixel OS rear camera. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has 3GB RAM and 16GB storage (microSD up to 128GB).
Additional features are support for MST technology (Samsung Pay), Samsung KNOX, S-Voice, along with dual-SIM option.
Connectivity options are: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+ (for tracking health data, fitness, etc), USB 2.0, NFC (UICC, eSE) Galaxy A7 (2016) has the following sensors: Accelerometer, proximity, geomagnetic, RGB Light, Hall, fingerprint scanner. It has a 3,300mAh battery with fast-charging support.

The camera is the same as the Galaxy A7 and it also supports MST technology(Samsung Pay), Samsung KNOX, S-Voice. This is also a dual-SIM smartphone.
The Galaxy A5 (2016) supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC (UICC, eSE).
Sensor included are Accelerometer, Proximity, geomagnetic, RGB Light, Hall, fingerprint scanner. The battery size is 2,900mAh with fast-charging support.
