Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge were launched by the company at the Unpacked event ahead of MWC. The company's 2016 flagships feature the same glass-metal design as the S6 series, but what has changed is the rear camera with a new technology that the company is calling ‘Dual Pixel.’ The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge come with a Game Launcher, a new add-on feature for gamers that allows users manage battery consumption. The new Galaxy S7 series also feature Samsung KNOX, fingerprint scanning, Samsung Pay works with NFC (Near Field Communication), and Barcode technology as well.The smartphones will be available starting mid-March 2016. The ‘Dual Pixel’ feature in Samsung S7, S7 edge helps deliver sharp, and brighter pictures even in low-light, says the company. Additionally the camera has a faster shutter speed, and a more accurate auto-focus, even in low-light conditions. Samsung has also introduced what it called ‘Motion Panorama’ mode, which brings movement to traditional panoramic photos. LG Electronics unveiled its LG G5 smartphone with a modular type design for add-on camera and a slide-out battery at the MWC 2016. LG G5 comes with a dual-rear camera set-up, a slide-out battery and runs the latest Snapdragon 820 processor. It also has an Always-on display. The company has not yet announced the launch date of LG G5 in India or its price, but here’s what we know so far about the LG G5. Here's our first look at the phone. LG G5 features a 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display (2560 x 1440 / 554ppi). The smartphone comes with an Always-on Display for notifications. It is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, has 4GB RAM, 32GB storage space (microSD expandable up to 2TB). The LG G5 has a dual-camera set-up on the back with a 16 megapixel camera and a wide-angle eight megapixel camera. The front camera is eight megapixels and the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The LG G5 smartphone will be available in silver, titan, gold and pink colour options. One very interesting device at the MWC is the Nokia Ozo VR camera which will in all probability be the first cinema grade virtual reality recorder. The device comes with capability to record and store up to 45 minutes of audio and video.The VR quality is really high standard. Nokia thinks this will be able to revolutionise movie making. Huawei MateBook is a new productivity tablet with its own Stylus (called MatePen) and a keyboard cover that aims to take on the Apple iPad Pro and Surface Pro 4 from Microsoft. Huawei has showcased the MateBook at the MWC 2016 conference in Barcelona. The MateBook is ultra sleek (6.9 mm thin) and weighs around 640 g. The design might remind some of the Apple iPad Pro. It has a 12-inch IPS TFT LCD screen with 2160 x 1440 pixels resolution. It also comes with a MatePen, which looks like a combination of the Apple Pencil and the Surface Pro’s Pen. Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, the new all-metal smartphone has been announced by the company at the MWC 2016. Lenovo’s Vibe K5 Plus has a 5-inch wide-view FHD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. Lenovo also launched the Vibe K5 (also sold as Lenovo K5) with a 5-inch HD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core processor. Pricing for this model starts at $129. Lenovo indicated that the Vibe K5 Plus could launch in India soon. Read more here
