US Open 2017: Maria Sharapova, Garbine Muguruza exit; Americans Sam Querrey, Venus Williams march ahead

Maria Sharapova, who was back on the grand-slam stage after returning from a doping ban, was knocked out in the fourth round as she lost 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 to Anastasija Sevastova. The 30-year-old Russian finished with 51 unforced errors, compared to 14 for Sevastova.
