When two Asian giants meet over Gujarati hospitality by the Sabarmati riverfront, All headlines are let loose. In the Top frames this week, the Bonhomie between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chinese President Xi Jingping was one entrenched with smiles, signatories and symbolism. While things did move in a cordial manner between the two on the table, reports of continuous incursions by the PLA was also incurred.

Severe floods inundated Srinagar, and paralyzed life in most parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar the capital, was in a state of limbo, with floodwater bringing the city to a complete halt for more than a week.

Many deaths were reported, and loss of property and infrastructure has been unaccountable. Across the border too, Pakistan suffered the aftermath of the Kashmir floods, as waters from the Jhelum and other rivers flooded the eastern corners of the beleaguered nation.
