Rabindranath Tagore was an eminent Bengali poet, philosopher and artiste who became the first Asian to win the Nobel Prize in 1913. He is credited with reshaping Bengali literature, music and art in the 19th and 20th centuries, Gitanjali being his most notable work. Tagore is the only one to be associated with the national anthems of three countries — India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Schoolchildren still grow up learning the poem 'Where the mind is without fear' written by him. On his death anniversary, here are some nuggets of wisdom from Gurudev himself.
