Aashna Narang, a psychotherapist based in Delhi, told indianexpress.com that appreciating the little things are important in life. “Learning to be fully present to each moment, being appreciative of my triumphs and thankful for my failures," she says.
Shramay Dhawan, an undergraduate student majoring in Economics at University of Chicago said, “My New Year resolution is to make sure to have an open mind and be more understanding of situations and circumstances. We may form perceptions of certain narratives in our head without full comprehension and I believe that I would like to be more understanding going forward.”
Sunny Garg, a Gurugram based tech entrepreneur said that he personally doesn't believe in the concept of new year resolutions. “As an entrepreneur you don't have the freedom to wait till 1st of January to start something new. It's mostly 'right now or never'. So look at everyday as a new beginning and a new opportunity to make and fulfill a resolution,” he added.
Erika Brar, a third year student at Lady Shri Ram College talks about reducing her screen time. "I'd like to make 2022 a year of growth where the only person I compete with is myself. I'd also like to reduce my Netflix screen time."
Jarshia Alhuwalia, a graduate from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University, emphasises on the importance of self love and says, “My resolution for 2022 is to learn to put myself first and to give myself the kind of love that I give to others.”
Mahak Malik, a creative consultant by profession, said that she cannot wait for the opportunities life has for her in the coming year. “It’s been a great year, one introspective year of my life that forced me to look at life in a certain perspective, so I feel that it has been one incredible year and I am extremely grateful for the same. I am looking forward to every day of the coming year with a lot of zeal and positivity,” she says.
Gaurangi Mittal, a third year student at Delhi University talks about the many changes coming her way in the new year. "According to where I am in life, 2022 is going to be a life changing year for me, professionally and lifestyle wise as well. So, to make sure I’m ready to take whatever comes my way, I think I’ll try taking care of my health which I would very often put aside till now and hopefully work on my body image issues."
"This year I want to celebrate even the small things that I've accomplished and just practice gratitude more often," says Mehak Kapoor, an undergraduate student from Delhi University.
