Sultan has managed to fulfill box office predictions. As the Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma starrer has become the highest opener at the box office with Rs 36.54 crore, the film has yet again given its fans a reason to celebrate. Sultan got a massive response and this is clear with the film's business on first day of its release. Sultan is just going to get bigger with Eid holiday on July 7 and the weekend which follows it.

Sultan opening box office collection: Rs 36.54 crore
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Salman Khan's Sultan has proved its supremacy at the box office with the "mind-boggling" business on day one. Adarsh has predicted a "historic" five-day weekend for the film. The much awaited Eid release features Salman as a Haryanvi wrestler.
Housefull 3 opening box office collection: Rs 15.21 crore
Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 3, which released on June 3, opened with a collection of Rs 15.21 crore. The film has emerged as the clear winner and has crossed Rs 100 crore mark in just 12 days of its release.
Airlift opening box office collection: Rs 12.35 crore
Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer falls fourth in the list with Rs 12.35 crore. Airlift was this year's first film to enter 100 crore club and that too in 10 days of its release.
Fan opening box office collection: Rs 19.20 crore
Shah Rukh Khan's Fan is now a distant second with Rs 19.2 crore business at the BO. The film features the superstar in double role. Despite a grand opening, the film's overall collection settled at just Rs 84.10 crore which was quite less in comparison to the star's previous flicks like Dilwale, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.
Baaghi opening box office collection: Rs 11.94 crore
This Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer earned Rs 11.94 crore on the day one of its release. This was Tiger's second venture after the grand success of Heropanti. Baaghi was released on 2750 screens across India and 344 screens abroad on April 29.
Udta Punjab opening box office collection: Rs 10.05 crore
The drug-themed movie Udta Punjab, statting Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh, opened at the box office with a collection of Rs. 10.05 cr, also falls in list of top box office opening collection films of 2016.
