The actor added, "When I was shooting for this film, I used to say to my friends, ‘How can anyone have an arranged marriage? It’s so strange.’ So, I used to find the scenes also very funny – vo chai lekar aarahi hai and then bolti hai jal. I was like, Sooraj ji, ‘What’s jal, man? Shahid was shown a clip of Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali sharing where the film’s characters, Geet and Aditya, would be today. Imtiaz humorously responded, "At a divorce lawyer’s office." Laughing at the remark, Shahid said, ""That’s actually a fun idea that Geet and Aditya are now breaking up because they are frustrated with each other. Aditya is like, ‘She is her own favourite, who can ever put up with her?'"

Shahid was shown a photo of himself alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Hema Malini at SCREEN Awards and the Deva actor said, "It was a lot of fun. I was also very nervous because I think I was hosting with Shah Rukh sir for the first or second time. I was very comfortable dancing on the stage, but I was not very comfortable hosting. So, he made me feel extremely comfortable. I was standing in front of two legends thinking ‘I have made it.’ I was so happy standing in front of two legends – Hema (Malini) ji on one side and Shah Rukh sir on the other."
