Ahead of the visit of First Lady of USA Melania Trump to the Happiness classes in Delhi government schools, Delhi Education Minister visited the schools and interacted with students.
The Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kerjriwal and deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia have been dropped from the list of guests to visit the Delhi Government school with the first lady.
Melania Trump will be visiting the Delhi government schools next week to witness these classes.
During his visit, Sisodia interacted with students.
Happiness curriculum is a flagship programme of Delhi government which aims to help children relieve stress, meditate and discuss things that are troubling them.
Delhi government school students of nursery to Class 8 attend these classes based on happiness curriculum in a a ‘happiness’ period of 45 minutes.
The classes begin with a five-minute meditation session. The happiness period also includes value education and mental exercises
The curriculum was launched by the Dalai Lama in 2018.

The new subject was designed and prepared by a team of 40 Delhi government teachers, educators and volunteers over a period of six months.
Delhi government also launched Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum Framework for classes 9 to 12
The happiness curriculum was appreciated by several state government's too.
