
The officials said early results help in smooth conduct of the advanced supplementary examination and in admissions in Classes 11 and 12 for the next academic year, which will begin next month in Andhra Pradesh.

The Andhra Pradesh Secondary School Certificate (SSC) results have been declared. The pass percentage this year is 94.52 with 5,83, 266 candidates of a total of 6,17,030 regular candidates who appeared for the examination, clearing it. In the case of girls the pass percentage is 94.77 and in the case of boys it is 94.30.

The supplementary examination is scheduled to be held from June 16 to 29 from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon. The last date for remittance of fee by hand is June 3, through heads of school is June 6 and last date for submission of computer extracts at the DEO office is June 9. The extraction of the failed candidates will be despatched by May 18.

Amid strong reservations expressed by several states against conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) this year, the NDA government on May 20 paved the way for an ordinance to keep state governments’ exams out of the ambit of the common test.
Those who clear the first year in School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) will now be able to take admission in any college affiliated to the University of Delhi (DU) in their second year.
