As polling in eight seats of West Bengal was completed today during the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The post shared from the official handle of the party on social media site X contained two pictures with one showing a vacant table with PM Modi’s cutout with a caption that said,”Aaro ekbar, Modi bohishkar! (‘Once more, boycott Modi!)”
As citizens in national capital voted today, the political parties in the arena were busy targeting the opponent on ‘vacant tables’ at polling booths. In the afternoon, AAP Delhi official X handle posted a picture showing vacant tables with BJP logos with the caption ,”Why are all these tables empty? Do you know?”
In retaliation, BJP Delhi posted a picture from their official X handle showingtables with the AAP sign vacant, while the ones with the BJP sign were crowded. The caption read, “The view at 5 pm is a sign that “once again…”
Eco-friendly polling booths caught attention this election season as the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 was completed. Election Commission of India(ECI) posted visuals from these eco-friendly polling booths from their official X social media handle with the caption ,”Going eco-friendly in elections.”
ECI today came out with a ‘voting day bingo’ for those who ‘participated in democracy’ today as the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 were completed. The caption accompanying the bingo card read, “Let’s celebrate #ChunavKaParv and #GoVote” the Bingo has options inspired by real-life situations like ‘Long Line at the Polling Station’ and ‘Watching election coverage on TV’.
