The brief footage shows Syrian Army troops, reportedly backed by Hezbollah fighters, storming the airbase located in the Ghouta agricultural area.

Acorrding to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the pro-government troops continue to secure the surrounding areas with the help of outside support. The UK-based monitoring group said that the operation began a month back with the Syrian army continuing to reclaim vast tracts of land with the help of regional allies and Russia.
