A passenger opened an emergency exit door of a South Korean flight carrying 194 people on Friday, causing air to gush into the cabin at high speed before the plane landed safely.

The incident took place on Asiana Airlines’s Airbus A321 aircraft flying from the southern island of Jeju to the southeastern city of Daegu. Video footage purportedly taken from inside the plane showed air blasting into the cabin, with some passengers screaming in panic.

Some people aboard the aircraft attempted to stop the person from opening the exit door but it was eventually opened partially, news agency Associated Press quoted the Transport Ministry as saying.

The plane eventually landed at its destination with the exit door partially open. No one was injured, but some passengers were taken to the hospital for assessment, reported AP, quoting officials.

The flier who opened the door has been detained, reported news agency Reuters. The details of the incident, including how long the door was open and the motive of the perpetrator, are under investigation.
