Turning Point USA, the non-profit co-founded by conservative activist Charlie Kirk, returned to the state of Utah on Tuesday. The organisation held an event at Utah State University in Logan, which is located about two hours north of Utah Valley University, where Kirk was killed on September 10.

According to Turning Point USA, Utah State University was one of Kirk’s originally scheduled stops on his “American Comeback Tour.”

Tuesday’s event, which will be held under heightened security following the firing incident three weeks ago, will be led by Alex Clark, host of the “Real Alex Clark” podcast.

She will be joined by a panel of speakers, including Utah political leaders Senator Mike Lee and Governor Spencer Cox. Former Utah Representative Jason Chaffetz and current Arizona Representative Andy Biggs will also feature on the panel.

Utah State University officials told local media that Tuesday evening’s panel discussion will be held indoors, unlike the September 10 event at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was shot.

Officials also said Utah State University would provide a safe and secure venue as part of its limited role in setting up the event organised by a student club on campus.

Following the killing of Kirk, his widow, Erika Kirk, was announced the CEO of Turning Point USA. Last week, speaking on his podcast, The Charlie Kirk Show, Erika Kirk said her late husband’s show will continue, but added that it would be hosted by someone other than her.

Following the killing of Kirk, which sent shock waves across the Conservative circles in the US, many high-profile personalities have vowed to carry on his mission of encouraging young voters to embrace conservatism and move American politics further right.

The college tour is now being headlined by some of the biggest conservative names, including Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly and Glenn Beck.
