US President Donald Trump has warned Venezuela that it must take back prisoners he claims were sent into the United States, or face what he called an “incalculable” price.

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, Trump wrote: “Venezuela must immediately take back all of the prisoners it has forced into the United States. If not, the price you pay will be incalculable.”

The president did not specify who these prisoners were, but said some were “people from mental institutions.” He also gave no details about what actions he might take if Venezuela failed to comply.
