An Indian man here allegedly burnt to death his wife and five-year-old child after the woman got to know of her husband’s extramarital affair, Saudi media reported on Tuesday.
The woman and her minor child were found dead in their house in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Sunday, Arab News reported.
The man has admitted to the crime, the report quoted police as saying.
“The man said he killed the two after the woman came to know about his illicit relations with another woman who lived in the same house,” police said.
In order to destroy evidence, the man wanted to burn the house, they said.
The accused has been arrested and further investigation is on, said Col. Fawaz Al-Maiman, spokesman of Riyadh police.
