Talk about being lucky, not once, twice, or even thrice! That is the story of Amit Saraf, an Indian man living in Dubai. On Wednesday, the 51-year-old won a Mercedes-Benz G500 (Obsidian Black) car in the latest Dubai Duty Free draw.

Double millionaire wins second Mercedes

This was the second time Saraf has won a luxury car in the Dubai Duty Free draw. In February 2023, he was the winner of a Mercedes-Benz S500 car, which costs around Rs 2 crore in India. That is not all. Saraf is also one of the ten people who have won the Dubai Duty Free’s $1 million twice. He won the grand prize in October 2024 and January 2021. Saraf’s lucky streak with Dubai Duty Free does not end there either, as in December 2023, he won another Dh 40,000 (Rs 9.4 lakhs) Gift Card.

And it is highly likely that Saraf’s winning list will grow further as he plans to buy more tickets to increase his chances of winning in the future.

Indian man wins $1 million

He is not the only Indian who became a lucky winner this week. Abdul Rahman K, a 37-year-old from Kerala, won the grand prize of $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire Series 516 draw on Wednesday.

The father of three who works as a sales assistant for a retail company in Sharjah shared the cost of the ticket with his nine friends. All 10 of them have been participating in the draw since 2010, alternating the name on the ticket for each series.

The prize comes at the perfect time, he said. “Two of my daughters are celebrating their birthdays this month, and now we have even more reason to celebrate…It’s amazing!”

Two Indians win superbikes

According to Khaleej Times, it was a lucky week for two more Indians. While Shafeekh Nasarudeen, a 41-year-old Indian man, based in Umm Al Quwain, won a BMW F 900 GS Adventure motorbike, Olavo Fernandes, who lives in Abu Dhabi, won a Ducati Panigale V2 (Red) motorbike.
