Musk-Trump Interview Live Updates: With less than three months until the elections, former US president and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made a comeback on ‘X’, nearly a year after posting his infamous ‘mug shot’, for an interview with his billionaire ally Elon Musk. In the conversation plagued with technical glitches and “massive cyberattacks” — as identified by Musk — the 78-year-old spoke of the assassination attempt that took place a month ago at a rally in Pennsylvania and stated that it was due to “a lack of coordination”.
Former POTUS, speaking of the Department of Education, called for the elimination of the federal agency stating “I want to close up the Department of Education, move education back to the states…”. He added that US students are lagging behind their peers and that the elimination of the Department of Education will come with many advantages starting with education costs cutting into half.
The interview comes in the wake of hearsay about Trump offering Musk the role of an advisor in his administration. While Musk has denied all the claims, he did offer to help with government spending which was appreciated by Trump. Meanwhile, the Vice President and Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz campaign unfurls a fundraising appeal through an email with the subject line reading “The two worst people you know are live this evening“

Trump further added, “It was amazing that I happened to be turned just at that perfect angle.” The shooter was killed by a US Secret Service agent and Trump was hit in his right ear.
