Flood waters jet out of Taiwan dam after deluge of Dujuan Typhoon

According to the local authorities, two people lost their lives and 324 were injured in a single day of severe winds and rain.

Taiwanese authorities released flood waters at Taoyuan City’s Shihmen Dam, Tuesday, after typhoon Dujuan hit the country on Monday. Footage shows a controlled release of flood water at the dam, with dozens of people watching the water jetting out. According to the local authorities, two people lost their lives and 324 were injured in a single day of severe winds and rain. An estimated 710,000 households remain without electricity and 370,000 are without running water, according to the country’s news agency.
