Mumbai’s Vasai-Virar Mayor waters plants despite heavy rains and people can’t stop laughing

Sometimes, logic just fails. And this is exactly what happened when Vasai-Virar’s Mayor Pravina Thakur decided to water plants even when it was raining cats and dogs.

A picture of Thakur watering plants during heavy rains has gone viral and people on social media can’t help but comment on it. In fact, in the picture, people around her can be seen holding umbrellas. Well, that should have been a hint.

Nevertheless, environmentalists would delight in the fact that Thakur has taken on the green drive very seriously, and she’s there adding and cultivating to Mumbai’s green cover – in the presence of of shutterbugs – come rain, come…rain!
