However, these nations offer unique cultural and historical significance despite their limited geographical footprint.

The Vatican City, an independent city-state located within Rome, serves as the spiritual and administrative centre of the Roman Catholic Church.

Notably, it holds the title of the world’s smallest country, covering only 0.44 square kilometres.

In a striking contrast, New Delhi, the capital of India—the seventh-largest country in the world by area—spans 1,483 square kilometres.

This makes Delhi significantly larger than many of the world’s smallest countries, being approximately 1,000 times larger than the world’s smallest country, Vatican City.

Following is Monaco, the second-smallest country, which occupies just 2.02 square kilometres along the French Riviera.
