The Apple Campus 2 announced by late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in April 2006 is expected to open in late 2016 or early 2017 after several delays. The proposed campus is expected to house 13,000 employees in it’s 2.8 million square feet space.

The Apple Campus 2 will be home to a 1,000-seat auditorium and will have a 300,000 square feet space dedicated to research and development. Duncan Sinfield, a drone pilot and photographer has uploaded an aerial view of Apple’s mind boggling spaceship like campus under construction.

The video starts with Jobs’s speech at the city council announcing ‘Apple Campus 2’ and gives a nice perspective on the work completed in the past 31 days since his last flyby video of the campus in August. Sinfield used a DJI Inspire 1 quadcopter to film both the flyby videos.

Apple says its Campus 2 will be able to generate 100 percent power from renewable energy sources, thanks to the 700,000 square feet of solar panels installed onsite.
