This secures the screen’s durability and crack deflection capabilities and delivers protection in a remarkably thin form factor.

Samsung will not be announcing the Galaxy Buds 4 at the July edition of Unpacked 2025, according to Dutch site Galaxy Club (via SamMobile). While the summer is generally when the company also unveils its latest iteration of the Galaxy Buds, it is expected to be introduced sometime in 2026, as per the report.
In just half an hour, Samsung will officially unveil its latest foldables that have been touted to be the thinnest, lightest, and most durable from the brand ever. Exactly how thin will the all-new Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip be? Will there be a third foldable launched today? If so, will it be Samsung's first triple-screen foldable?
ICYMI, Samsung kicked off the year with another Galaxy Unpacked event in January, where it introduced the latest models under its flagship Galaxy S series, including:
-Galaxy S25
-Galaxy S25 Plus
-Galaxy S25 Ultra
It also provided a first look at the all-new ultra-thin and modular smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge. The event was held at the SAP centre in San Jose, California, US.

Samsung and Google have together been working on Project Moohan, a mixed reality headset that will be powered by Google's Android XR operating system. It could have various Gemini AI features as well. But both companies have been tight-lipped about its progress so far.
At this year's I/O conference, Google put on a live demo of its Android XR-powered smart glasses. But the real question is, will we get more news about Project Moohan at Galaxy Unpacked July 2025?
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is reportedly going to get a much bigger inner display, which may bump up the screen size to 8.2-inches. And while it may have the same design language as last year, it looks like Samsung might also bringing hardware upgrades in other areas like hinge durability, a much higher resolution main rear camera and a bigger battery to name a few.
The latest flip phone from Samsung will be unveiled in a matter of hours. Last year, the smartphone giant unveiled Galaxy z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Both phones featured minimal design upgrade, yet were lighter, and featured an array of AI offerings. Read our review of Galaxy Z Flip 6 here.
Samsung is also likely to continue with its strategy to bring more AI features with Galaxy AI, which the company says goes beyond what devices can do and is about how people interact with them. The company is also expected to launch a new AI-powered interface, supported by breakthrough hardware.
In a press release on July 9, Samsung teased its upcoming foldables - now in their seventh generation - as the thinnest, lightest and most durable of all.
TM Roh, the acting head of the Company's Device eXperience (DX) Division, will take the stage at Brooklyn Convention Centre in New York today to announce the latest foldables.
Samsung also teased camera innovations, indicating that the new foldable devices will feature a more powerful, dynamic and immersive camera system. According to Samsung's recent teasers, the company is likely to bring the Galaxy S25 series' Ultra camera experience to the new Galaxy Z Fold 7. This means that the Galaxy Fold series may get its first flagship camera, removing a big pain point among consumers who wanted to adopt foldables phones but were not impressed with its camera.
The buzz around Samsung's upcoming line-up of smartphones is understandable since it was one of the first companies to launch a foldable phone. However, the competition has intensified since then with several big players including Motorola, Google, and Chinese brands such as Honor, Oppo, and Xiaomi, introducing their own flips and foldables over the past few years.
The big question is: How will Samsung respond? Many shortcomings were found on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 like price, size, battery life and camera quality. Will the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 address them? This is why the July 9 Galaxy Unpacked event is pivotal for Samsung. All eyes are on whether the Galaxy foldables will match up to other foldables on the market such as the Oppo Find N5, one of the world's slimmest foldable book-style phones.
As for its Galaxy smartwatches, it remains to be seen how Samsung will attempt to push the envelope with AI and health and wellness monitoring.
While Samsung’s smartphone sales continue to see solid growth, the company is facing business uncertainty from various trade policies such as the 25 per cent tariff on non-US-manufactured smartphones proposed by US President Donald Trump. Some of its other key businesses such as chips are also seeing weakness in financial performance. Samsung on Tuesday, July 8, forecast a 39 per cent decline in its second-quarter operating profit due to delays in supplying advanced memory chips to Nvidia, according to a report by Reuters
While Samsung is holding an in-person event in New York, the launch will also be livestreamed on the smartphone maker’s official YouTube Channel. You can tune into the live stream tomorrow (July 9) at 7:30pm IST, which is when the event is expected to kick off. You can also watch it on Samsung's website via its newsroom.
Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7 at today's Unpacked event in New York. Rumours and leaks suggest that Samsung has made substantial changes to the designs of both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7.
The Z Fold 7 is expected to have a form factor of just 8.9 mm or 4.2 mm when unfolded, which would make it the thinnest foldable ever made by Samsung. It is also expected to have a larger cover display as well as a 200-megapixel camera.
The Z Flip 7, on the other hand, might feature an all-screen cover display. The clamshell-style foldable could also be powered by the Exynos 2500.
All eyes are also on a third new foldable smartphone that might be unveiled today at a more affordable price than the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.
Galaxy Watch 8 could make a debut today in a 'Classic' style with a rotating bezel.
