BlackBerry has launched new cybersecurity consulting services and tools combines with its existing security solutions to help customers identify the latest threat and develop mitigation strategies based on risk.
The company says it will help implement and maintain IT security standards and help organisations defend against risk of future attacks. The new security service will address strategic security as well as technical security. It also aims to help commercialise IoT security solutions with privacy being a top priority.

BlackBerry will also enable threat detection and mitigation testing along with vulnerability assessment. The service includes forensic services, business security and security breach management.
BlackBerry also announced secure enterprise solutions and services via Microsoft’s azure cloud platform. The enterprises will now be able to manage their BES12 deployment through Azure platform. BES12 from BlackBerry implements Good Secure EMM suites to Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.
Further, BlackBerry and Microsoft plan to add network crisis communication solution from AtHoc into Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace. BlackBerry also announced the expansion of its partnership with Sharecare to provide consumer with better insights into their health.
Both the companies have launched a dedicated Sharecare BBM channel which hosts information from experts which includes noted names like Deepak Chopra and Dr. Oz. “The Sharecare BBM channel lives on a user’s smartphone right in BBM for access anywhere at any time; and with notifications built into BBM,” the company said in a press statement.
