CES 2020 Live Updates: It’s the second day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and a lot is happening in Las Vegas. While there aren’t many press conferences lined up, there are still a ton of new gadgets and upcoming technologies to check out.
But it’s not just about new TVs and dual-screen laptops at CES 2020, tech experts have descended on Las Vegas to discuss and participate on relevant issues that matter to consumers. For the first time in 28 years, Apple has registered its presence in CES, the world’s largest tech show. Jane Horvath, Apple’s privacy officer, participated in a privacy-related panel where she talked about user privacy.
The first day of CES 2020 had a lot of offer. Brands like Samsung, Samsung, LG, Lenovo and Mercedes-Benz held their press briefings throughout the day. Not only we’ve seen new TVs from Samsung and LG, but we’ve also seen new laptops from Asus and Dell concept cars from Sony and Mercedes-Benz. Meanwhile, both Intel and AMD announced new processors.
But the biggest newsmaker of the day was Sony. The Japanese company surprised everyone when it announced its first-ever concept self-driving electric car, the Vision S. The EV comes with 33 sensors, Sony’s 360-degree Reality Audio, and a new EV platform. Samsung, on the other hand, unveiled a pair of AR glasses and a rolling robot called Ballie. LG, meanwhile, showcased its new range of OLED TVs. We also saw OnePlus’ first concept smartphone.
