Vivo Nex has been launched in India as an Amazon exclusive. It features a 6.59-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED ultra bezel-less display and comes with a screen aspect ratio of 19.3:9. Vivo Nex has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24 per cent, in comparison to the 93.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio of Oppo's Find X. Both phones feature full-screen display and come with retractable camera modules.

Vivo Nex offers a dual rear camera setup, comprising of 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor with four-axis OIS. There's an 8MP pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone runs FunTouchOS 4.0, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Vivo Nex S is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM. The phone comes in 8GB RAM+128GB storage option. Vivo Nex is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The Vivo Nex is not the only phone in India with a retractable camera module. Oppo's Find X also comes with a camera enhancement, that sports the phone's dual-rear configuration, as well as the selfie lens. Vivo Nex, on the other hand, comes with a pop-up selfie camera, while its dual-rear sensors are integrated into the phone's back. Vivo Nex is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, like most Android flagships these days. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo, which is based on FunTouch 4.0 OS. The phone comes with a 4000mAh battery. It is expected to ship in two storage configurations: 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
