Apart from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with an LTPO 2.0 panel and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate with HDR 10+ support and 1300 nits peak brightness. Other features include UFS 3.1 storage, stereo speakers, an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mah battery with support for 80W fast charging. The phone will continue with the Hasselblad camera we saw on the previous OnePlus 9 Pro series, though the camera specifications are different this time around.

OnePlus 10 Pro will start at Rs 61,999 for the 8GB RAM option, while the 12GB RAM option will cost Rs 71,999. The open sale starts on April 5 on Amazon India and OnePlus' official website.
OnePlus 10 Pro will run OxygenOS 12 and the company is showcasing the new features for the OS such as Work Mode, etc.
So it looks like OnePlus is not shying away from questions that the brand is just going to become another Oppo. OnePlus says they will retain a different brand identity and that being close to Oppo helps them manage other aspects like R&D and supply chain, which does make sense. And yes, OxygenOS remains separate. It is not going to be ColorOS.
This time the phone sports a 5000 mAh battery with SuperVOOC charging which is 80W. OnePlus claims the phone will get to 70 per cent in just 15 minutes, which should be good enough for most of us.
OnePlus Buds Pro earbuds will launch in a new Radiant Silver colour at Rs 9,990. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 are also official. These come with IP55 rating, and OnePlus claims even a 10 minute charge will deliver 20 hours of battery life. At full charge, they will last 30 hours.
The camera is a getting a 'Movie Mode' for better and more professional videos. The camera can also shoot 4K videos at 120 frames per second.
Of course, OnePlus is talking about the camera first given the partnership with Hasselblad. OnePlus is talking up the 'One Billion Colour Solution'. Looks like the Shark Tanks judges are not interested. One is sleeping. And for some reason they are cracking lame jokes. Anyway, OnePlus 10 Pro's ultra-wide has a 150-degree point of view and it comes with a Fish-eye mode as well.
Ok so the launch video is now officially on. And it appears to be a Shark Tank style video. And it looks like OnePlus is pitching itself during its own launch event. OnePlus makes it clear: we are not a startup. Interestingly, OnePlus' Red Cable Club has 20 million users. The company claims to have sold 10 million phones in 2021 alone.
And it's 7.25 pm. The launch event begins. But let's be honest. All of us really want to know the price for the OnePlus 10 Pro. What's your guess for the price?
Now as we noted earlier, OnePlus’ original plan was to merge the OxygenOS skin with Oppo’s ColorOS. But the move was heavily criticised by long-time OnePlus fans. Thankfully OnePlus has decided to call off merger. However, the OxygenOS and ColorOS will continue to be developed on the same codebase and according to Pete Lau, this is being done to allow for faster updates and better build quality. But the two will remain independent brand properties.
Going by past event, we expect a slick movie-style presentation highlighting the key features of the OnePlus 10 Pro, instead of just droning on about specifications. OnePlus typically does not mention or dwell on the specifications for too long. The event starts in another 5 minutes or so.
The price is the most awaited aspect of any OnePlus launch and it will be no different with the OnePlus 10 Pro. The reason is because once upon a time, OnePlus was the only brand that offered top-level specifications with the high-end Snapdragon processor at what was considered a very reasonable price.
But that's changed over the years, and last year's OnePlus 9 Pro started at Rs 64,999 going up to Rs 69,999. Given the flagship level specifications, plus the camera featues, we expect the OnePlus 10 Pro to sport a heavy-duty price tag.
And there are several reasons for this. For one, supply chain woes means that prices of parts have gone up in general. Expect that to reflect in the final price as well. Keep in mind that OnePlus has changed from the brand it used to be with a lot more diverse set of options from the Nord to the R series. It now some solid 'affordable' options in the Rs 25,000 price bracket, and the OnePlus R series is more for those looking for a phone in the Rs 45k bracket.
The Pro is now ultra-premium and competes with the top-end iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S series devices.
This will be an important question for many users. Now previously OnePlus had spoken about introducing a new version of ColorOS (from its parent company Oppo)+ OxygenOS (which is what we typically see OnePlus phones). However, fans were not too happy given OxygenOS is an important reason why many consider the OnePlus flagship in the first place. But it looks like OnePlus is listening to consumer feedback and sticking with OxygenOS for now.
OnePlus 10 Pro continues with the Hasselblad partnership as well. This will be the second phone from the brand to come with the branding. Hasselblad is a renowned Swedish camera manufacturer. This time, the camera setup includes a 48MP 50MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto camera at the back. We will have to wait and see how OnePlus improves on the camera aspect. With the OnePlus 9 Pro, we had mentioned in our review that the camera was much improved, and delivered more natural results. Will OnePlus 10 Pro take it to another level?
OnePlus 10 Pro will be the main attraction at today's event, but the company is also expected to showcase OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 as well. These are neckband style earbuds, which come with IP55 dust and water resistance rating. The price will be announced at today's event.
Each year, OnePlus launches two phones together: The regular OnePlus variant and the Pro version. The regular variant is usually more affordable, and often a comparable Snapdragon processor. But this time we are only expecting the OnePlus 10 Pro at tonight's launch. So where is the OnePlus 10? Will it be launched at a later date? Last year, the OnePlus 9 ran the same Snapdragon 888 chipset as the Pro, though the camera was different.
The big question with the OnePlus 10 Pro will be around price. Last year's OnePlus 9 Pro started at Rs 64,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and Rs 69,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. And before that the OnePlus 8 Pro started at Rs 54,999 for 8GB + 128GB version, while the top-end model of the phone with 12GB/256GB cost Rs 59,999. So yes, OnePlus has been steadily increasing prices for its flagship. Will the OnePlus 10 Pro cross the Rs 70,000 price mark? We will just have to wait and see.
OnePlus is also gearing up to launch a silver colour variant for the Buds Pro today. The Radiant Silver colourway was recently spotted on the company's website and it features a shiny silver body with grey eartips.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 will come with IP55 protective rating against dust, sweat and water.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to launch in two colours in India, just like international markets. These are Forest Emerald and Volcanic Black.Check them both out below.
OnePlus is partnering with camera-maker Hasselblad again for the OnePlus 10 Pro, which is expected to launch with a second generation Hasselblad camera for mobile. We should find out more about the new camera setup later today during the launch of the phone.
The OnePlus 10 series phones were expected to be the first to launch with the brand's Unified OS which merged OxygenOS with ColorOS. However, since the brand has now decided against the switch, phones including the OnePlus 10 Pro will continue to feature OxygenOS, albeit with a ColorOS codebase.
