
The Honor Magic 6 Pro is the company’s latest flagship smartphone. Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the device offers a unique technology called “AI-powered eye-tracking” to help with tasks like opening notifications from the Magic Capsule by just looking at it. Besides the Magic 6 Pro, the company also introduced the Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR, a premium foldable flagship smartphone, which is a premium version of Magic V2, launched earlier this year.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro was launched last month in China. At the MWC 2024, the company announced the global availability of the same. The device comes with a 6.8-inch screen with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate with a Dynamic-Island-like “Magic Capsule” at the top, which includes a selfie camera and additional sensors for eye-tracking.
Honor calls this a floating screen which offers 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and this is a quad-curved display with Dolby Vision HDR support.
The smartphone offers 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Onto the cameras, the device has a 50 MP wide-angle lens, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and this is one of the first smartphones to feature a massive 180 MP telephoto zoom lens with support for 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Even at the front, there is a 50 MP selfie camera along with a 3D depth camera that assists Face Unlock, and all cameras on this phone can record videos with up to 4K resolution.
The device is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance and it packs a 5,600 mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 66W wireless charging. In terms of software, the phone runs on Android 14-based MagicUI 8.0.
In Europe, the Honor Magic 6 Pro is priced at 1299 Euros or approximately Rs 1,16,000 for the 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage. The Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR is priced at 2699 Euros or approximately Rs 2,45,000. Both smartphones will be available in markets like Europe and the UK for pre-order starting today.
