Apple introduced its newest iPhones — iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max at the “It’s Glowtime” event. While the base iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus cost similar to their predecessors in India, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max are slightly cheaper.
All four iPhones – the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be available for pre-orders from September 13 and sale from September 20 in India.
Here are all the details on how much the latest iPhones cost in India.
This time around, instead of a price hike, Apple has actually reduced the price of the iPhone 16 Pro series, which now starts at Rs 1,19,900. However, the same iPhone 16 Pro is much cheaper in countries like the US, where the same device costs $99 or approximately Rs. 83,891 (before taxes), which makes it much cheaper than the iPhone 16 Plus.

Both the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus are competitively priced in India, especially when compared to their Pro-contemporaries. Considering the flat bank discount of Rs 5,000, the price of the 128 GB iPhone 16 comes down to Rs 74,900. However, in markets like the US, it is much cheaper, starting at around Rs 67,000 (before taxes), and the same is available in Canada for under Rs 70,000.

The iPhone 16 Pro, despite its lower Rs 1,19,900 price tag when compared to the launch price of the iPhone 15 Pro is still on the expensive side, especially when compared to the western market, where the latest 6.3-inch flagship from Apple can be bought for less than Rs 90,000 in the US and Canada.
Similarly, the iPhone 16 Pro is also much cheaper in Dubai and China, and costs well under Rs 1,00,000, making it at least Rs 15,000 cheaper than the Indian pricing.

The US is still the cheapest place to buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max, where the base iPhone 16 Pro Max with 256 GB of storage costs slightly over Rs 1,00,000, making it almost Rs 40,000 cheaper when compared to the Indian price.

While an iPhone 16 or the iPhone 16 Pro Max that you brought from outside India should work similarly to an Indian variant, there are a few things to keep in mind before buying one.
If you buy an iPhone 16 or the iPhone 16 Pro Max from the US, these iPhones won’t include a physical SIM card slot and only support eSIM, while the Indian variant comes with a single nano SIM card slot and also supports an eSIM. Also note that some markets sell network-locked iPhones, which might not work with an Indian SIM card, always ensure that you are buying an unlocked iPhone 16 or the iPhone 16 Pro, especially if you are getting it from abroad.
In the same context, if you buy an iPhone 16 or the iPhone 16 Pro from China, it will come with two physical SIM slots (nano) without eSIM support. Apple offers a global warranty and you can also purchase additional Apple Care+ to extend the product warranty by two additional years.
