Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 starts September 23: Deals on phones, flights, and more

Amazon, on Monday, September 8, announced that its flagship festive sale Amazon Great Indian Festival will start on September 23. The e-commerce giant said that Prime members will get a 24-hour early access to the sale that is offering some lucrative deals, exclusive product launches, and faster delivery across the country.

For shoppers, Amazon will offer discounts of up to 40 per cent on smartphones, 65 per cent on TVs and home appliances, and up to 80 per cent across fashion, beauty, electronics, and home categories. The company said that  over 1 lakh products will be available at the lowest prices of the year, with new launches from top brands including Samsung, Apple, Intel, HP, Asus, Titan, Libas, and L’Oréal.

“This year, customers can look forward to the lowest prices of the year on over one lakh products, blockbuster deals, exciting new launches, engaging entertainment and much more. With a reduction in GST on millions of products, along with exciting deals already planned by sellers, customers can look forward to great savings this Amazon Great Indian Festival,” said Saurabh Srivastava, VP, categories, Amazon India.

The company said that it has added 45 new delivery stations in Tier II and Tier III cities such as Tiruchirappalli, Port Blair, Rai Bareli, Ranchi, Bulandshahr, Srinagar, Howrah, Silchar, Ranchi, etc. With this, Amazon now operates around 2,000 last-mile delivery stations across India.

Faster and more reliable

“We are faster today than ever before. Compared to last year, we are already delivering same day to 50 per cent more cities and next day to twice as many locations across the country. The launch of 45 new delivery stations, allows us to deliver happiness with greater speed and reliability to customers across the country, including those in tier II and III cities,” said Abhinav Singh, VP, operations, Amazon India and Australia.

Meanwhile, the e-commerce platform has said that it has also created over 1.5 lakh seasonal work opportunities. It also expanded its operations network with 12 new fulfillment centers and six sort centers.

Amazon said that more than 17 lakh sellers will participate in the sale, including small and medium businesses under various programmes. To support sellers, the company has also introduced AI-powered tools like the Samriddhi Dashboard, offering insights on sales, inventory, and performance.

On the consumer side, the company is rolling out new generative AI features. Rufus AI, its shopping assistant that will allow users to compare products, check price history, and get personalized recommendations. Features like Lens AI, AI Review Highlights, and AR View aim to make discovery and decision-making easier.

Besides, customers can avail 10 per cent instant discounts with SBI Credit and Debit Cards and enjoy no-cost EMIs via Amazon Pay Later. Additionally, they can avail up to 15 per cent off on flights, 40 per cent off on hotels, and 15 per cent off on bus bookings. Gift cards will offer up to Rs 250 cashback and 10 per cent off on top brands.
